Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 2004 recovered two Roman coins. One was dated to the late 2nd century AD, while the other dated to the late 3rd century AD. Further detecting in 2007-8 recovered Romano-British objects, an Early Saxon small-long brooch, and undated casting waste.Metal detecting in 2008- 9 revealed a middle saxon prick spur, medieval and post- medieval metal objects.
