Summary

Metal-detecting between 2004 and 2015 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, medieval and post-medieval jettons and post-medieval tokens and Late Iron Age/Roman, Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval metal objects. These objects include a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman steelyard weights, an apron mount and a knife or scalpel; Early Saxon brooches; a Middle/Late Saxon hooked tag and strap-end; a Late Saxon trefoil brooch or harness fitting; Late Saxon/post-medieval spindle whorl; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval purse bar and frame fragments, a rowel spur, horse harness pendant, spindle whorl, finger-joint cover from a plate armour gauntlet and a copper alloy and iron furniture fitting; a medieval/post-medieval pin, thimble, purse bar, copper alloy vessel fragments and a lead weight; post-medieval rowel spurs, cloth seals, book clasps, a crotal bell, spur stud attachment, sword-belt hanger, harness mounts and a white metal bell fragment plus an undatable copper alloy ring.
