Summary

Aerial photography from 1944 records the cropmarks of a small sub-rectangular enclosure of possible post medieval date. It has a funnelled entrance to the south east, which may indicate it is an animal enclosure and is possibly related to grazing activities on the saltmarsh.

A small sub-rectangular enclosure is visible on aerial photographs (S1). The date of the feature is not known, although it is possible that it is a post-medieval or even modern. The site is centred on TF 6593 3531. It has a funnelled entrance to the south east, which may indicate it is an animal enclosure and is possibly related to grazing activities on the saltmarsh. The enclosure measures 11m by 13, with banks up to 1.5m wide.
