Summary

This early 17th century timber framed house and shop was refronted in gault brick in the 1860s. It has a 19th century double fronted shop fascia. A late 16th or early 17th century wall painting was found over an upper floor fireplace in 1979.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"House and shop. Early 17th century refronted in gault brick 1860's. Timber framed interior. Pantiled roof. Two storeys. 19th century double fronted shop fascia below 2 first floor windows under rendered skewback arches. Gabled roof with ridge stack to west."

Wallpainting revealed on upper floor of King's Quality Stores. Painting over fireplace, foliate scrollwork in late 16th or early 17th century style.
