(S3) records as Pickwick House.
This site is documented from 1493 when it was in the hands of Thomas Joly, a turner. By 1542 it has acquired a bit of its neighbours curtilage. From at least 1614 to 1728 its owners were oatmeal-makers and in 1633 and 1728 the premises included an oat mill. There was considerable internal adaption between these dates. This is in line with the alterations noted by the survey.
