Map

July 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated ditches, probably field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs ((S1) to (S2)). A total of thirteen separate sections of linear ditch are visible on northeast to southwest and northwest to southeast alignments centred around TG36253146. Two sections of a 2.5m wide ditch extend for 143m between TG36173134 and TG36253146. All of the other ditches appear as narrower cropmarks and are visible for lengths of between 6m and 77m. The consistent alignment of the ditches suggest that they may belong to a field system that is only partly visible as cropmarks on the available aerial photographs. Although undated, the alignment of the ditches suggests that they are earlier than the surviving post medieval field pattern.
