Map

May 2003. NMP.
An area of probable Post-medieval ridge and furrow style earthworks and linear ditches, visible as earthworks on 1947 RAF vertical aerial photographs.
The ridge and furrow type features are aligned in an east to west direction (S1) contained within an area defined by the Puny drain to the west and Hardwick narrows to the east. There are two linear features aligned in a north to south direction, that appear to cut across the ridge and furrow (S1), and are probably not contemporary with it. The ridge and furrow type features are probably Late medieval or Post-medieval in date. The linear features probably post-date these.
M. Brennand (NMP), 29 May 2003.
