Full Description
July 2003. NMP.
There are a series of ridge and furrow type earthworks within this area, aligned in an east to west direction. There features are characteristically narrow and straight and are common on the reclaimed saltmarsh in this area, probably dating from the post-medieval period. However, these particular features do have a vague reversed S shape and may be late medieval. There is the possible trace of a penannular bank at TF 6275 1868 (S1). The feature has a diameter of 8m. This may be the fragmentary remains of a stack stand, and may be post-medieval in date.
