Summary

This house and school room were built by Rev. E.T. Yates in 1857 in Gothic Revival style. The house was intended for the curate and the school room for infants and Sunday school. Later in the 19th century the school was used as mission church for the Drabblegate area, until 1892. These buildings are important because it is unusual for a school room and curate's house to survive together.
