Summary

A probable medieval hall house, floored over and extended in the 17th century, the whole building being later clad in brick and with a small 19th century addition. It has important Regency furnishings.

Listed as a late 17th century house with 19th century extension (S1), this is in fact a timber framed house throughout, the evidence suggesting a medieval hall house, floored over and extended in the 17th century, the whole later clad in brick, with only a small 19th century addition. Important Regency furnishings.
