Full Description
August 2004. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a rectilinear enclosure, of probable Roman date, is visible on aerial photographs (S1 to 4). This cropmark was previously recorded as part of NHER 21773. It is aligned roughly north to south and measures 87m by 68m. The northwest corner of the enclosure lies under the present course of Mill Lane. This cropmark is crossed by other cropmarks representing a possible earlier route of Mill Lane (NHER 38718) and post medieval field boundaries (NHER 38727, 38722). Other smaller rectilinear enclosures of possible Roman date are recorded 85m to the west (NHER 38733).
