Summary

An evaluation by Norfolk Archaeological Unit in 2004 revealed a prehistoric pit, a post medieval ditch and a possible trackway. Pottery dating from the prehistoric to the medieval periods, and Roman and medieval coins were found.

August 2004. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site. Contexts 100 to 135.
Revealed several features, including parallel ditches, which may be the remains of a trackway. Medieval pottery was recovered from a small cut into the possible trackway. A substantial ditch dating to the post medieval period was found, as well as a small pit in which prehistoric flint and pottery was found.
