August 2004. Very brief visit.
Internal walls have studwork and long diagonal braces. Main room has spine beam and flat joists but latter do not fit the mortices and have been distressed; they bear apparent assembly numbers and pseudo-runic apotropaisms but these seem too good to be genuine and the whole is probably a 20th century imitation. The north fireplace bressumer does however have genuine Ave Maria scratches and blessing marks, and a very large socket for a smoke jack. The fireplace is deep and low. The bridging beam in front of the stack rests on an extremely crude beam at the façade end. The timber framing is so late and crude it could well be 18th century.
