Map

August 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of an enclosure, ditch and possible trackway of unknown, Iron Age to Roman or medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3522 3018. A possible incomplete enclosure is centred on TG 3523 3015. It has a straight western side measuring at least 55m and a curved southern side of 68m. A possible entrance is present in the centre of the southern side. The date of this enclosure is uncertain but could be Iron Age to Roman or medieval. However, there is some possibility that the marks defining this enclosure are the result of modern agricultutral origin. A northwest to southeast aligned ditch extends for 70m between TG 3520 3022 and TG3525 3018. This ditch does not appear to be related to the enclosure ditch. Further to the north are two parallel ditches aligned roughly north to south. These may represent a short section of trackway or a double ditched field boundary of unknown date.
(S1).
