Summary

Metal detecting on the beach in 2004 and 2012 recovered a medieval copper alloy buckle frame featuring a stylised animal-head with cusped mouldings and a post-medieval coin.

Medieval copper alloy buckle frame, annular, facetted trapezoidal section, stylised animal-head with cusped mouldings (?ears) and transverse groove across snout which projects from edge of frame opposite constriction for sheet pin. Diameter 39mm. 14th century.
