Map

November 2003. Building Survey.
Level 1 survey of three timber jetties and semi-circular boat dock. Undertaken prior to raising/replacement of walls along West Quay as part of an ongoing flood defence project, which will result in the removal of a number of jetties and similar structures of unknown date.
Recorded structures first depicted on (S1) which shows four L-plan jetties set within a recessed mooring to the east of West Quay. A number of timber posts are likely to represent the original fabric of the jetties, with the other timbers representing later modifications.
The Lifeboat Station was constructed after 1927 and lies outside the survey area.
