Summary

A silver plated contemporary imitation of a half crown of Charles I (1625-1649) was found here by metal detecting. A Roman coin and a Spanish medieval coin were also found. The Roman coin had been made by one emperor (Tetricus) and then a new emperor's design (Carausius) was struck over the top of it. This is a unusual find.
