Summary

A mound near the parish boundaries of Marham, Shouldham and Barton Bendish parishes could be seen in the 1930s but was destroyed when RAF Marham's runway was constructed. It is reported that excavations in the mound found 'old swords and coins'. The mound may have been a Bronze Age barrow.

Mound near junction of Marham, Shouldham and Barton Bendish parishes.
Visible around 1930 - cultivated then, but on airfield 1960.

J.F. Williams reported that an old man called Stannard used to dig about in it and get old swords and coins - probably a barrow.
