Full Description
October 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Undated, probably medieval to post medieval, field boundary ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The cropmarks are centred on TG 35003041. The majority of the ditches have a northwest - southeast alignment, perpendicular to the present course of Nash’s Lane. A curving ditch to the west of The Street at TG 34733049 also follows the line of that road. It is likely that most of these cropmarks relate to medieval to post medieval field boundaries. However, some may represent a continuation of the extensive cropmark complex to the north (NHER 21835) part of which may be of Iron Age to Roman date.
