Summary

An area of rough grassland and scrub on the northern edge of the River Wissey floodplain. Two prominent 'inlets' extend into this site, partly natural and partly from possible peat extraction. Some prominent scarps and a pond can be seen to the north, and a few potboilers have been recovered from cattle scrapes and rabbit upcasts.

An area of rough grassland and scrub on the northern edge of the River Wissey floodplain. Two prominent 'inlets' extend into this area from the south, perhaps partly natural and partly from possible peat extraction. Some prominent scarps and a pond to the north. A few potboilers seen in cattle scrapes and rabbit upcasts.

Information from [1] suggests deposits here are very sandy and presence of peat is highly unlikely.
