Full Description
July 2004. Metal detecting.
Burnt Early Saxon brooch and Early Saxon wrist clasp.
Post medieval fastener.
Undated ?ingot.
See list in file.
The ingot was thought to be potentially a silver/lead/gold alloy and was therefore submitted for consideration as Treasure. It appears that subsequent scientific analysis demonstrated that it was in fact made of copper alloy (and therefore not Treasure). Information from entry in (S1) [1].
A. Rogerson (NLA), 17 September 2004. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 13 May 2020.
2005. Metal detecting.

A. Rogerson (NLA), 30 June 2005.
