Summary

A possible linear feature is visible within the intertidal zone at Overstrand in 1952 on aerial photographs. The origin of this feature is unknown, although it is possible that it is part of a military beach defence such a barbed wire. It could also be a fragment of a wrecked vessel.

A possible linear feature is visible within the intertidal zone at Overstrand in 1952 on aerial photographs (S1). The origin of this feature is unknown, although it is possible that it is part of a military beach defence such a barbed wire. It may also be a fragment of a wrecked vessel. The site is centred on TG 2432 4135 and the linear is approximately 9m long and runs from TG 2432 4135 to TG 2431 4135. Very little detail of the feature can be distinguished due to the waves breaking in the vicinity of the site.
