Map

December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a curvilinear ditch with attached enclosures, of probable late prehistoric date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3077 3300. A curving linear ditch extends for approximately 310m on a roughly north to south alignment between TG 3075 3314 to TG 3077 3282. Extending westwards from this ditch and 100m apart are two parallel west to east aligned ditches. North to south aligned ditches associated with these suggest that enclosures or fields, measuring 24m and 44m wide, were attached to the western side of the curvilinear ditch. These cropmarks are similar to boundary ditches with attached enclosures recorded elsewhere in eastern England and are believed to be of Iron Age date (S2). The curvilinear ditch is crossed by the cropmarks of the possible Roman or Saxon field system and trackway (NHER 39010).
