Summary

Metal detecting at this location in 2004 recovered a coin weight dating to the reign of James I. A systematic fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey undertaken in 2013 recovered prehistoric flint flakes, post-medieval pottery sherds and a small assemblage of post-medieval metal objects.

Field survey of large proposed development area.
Finds recovered from this field included:
2 prehistoric flint flakes.
2 post-medieval coins, 13 pottery sherds, 4 buttons, 1 decorative fitting, 1 lead rivet and 1 unidentified bullet-shaped lead object.
1 undated lead weight and 1 washer.
