Map

December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of an undated field system are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3072 3389. Cropmarks of a rectilinear field system extend on a northwest to southeast alignment for at least 160m. Two incomplete fields measuring 56m wide by at least 42m long are visible along this axis. Parts of a further two fields are present to the northeast, but are too incomplete to allow their dimensions to be recorded. In the southeast corner of this group are cropmarks of two more incomplete fields or a subdivided enclosure with a rounded corner. These cropmarks overlap with the trackway cropmarks to the southeast (NHER 39082). The date of this field system is not certain, but its alignment is similar to the possible medieval to early post medieval field system to the southwest (NHER 12818).
