Before 4 September 2006. Metal detecting, site extended, previous area saved [1].
Two iceni silver units, Roman coins, a Late Saxon and Medieval coin. Roman plate and bow brooch, fragment of bracelet and pendant similar to amphora shaped pendants, (S1). Post medieval furniture fitting and buckle plate. Unidentified and undated copper alloy fragments.

4 September 2012. Test pit.
A 1m by 1m test pit was excavated at [2] by members of staff from the Shadwell Estate, supervised by staff from the Norfolk historic Environment service. The test pit was excavated to a depth of 0.70m through a topsoil (0.40m) and subsoil. The topsoil contained Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman and post-medieval ceramic building material, a post-medieval clay pipe fragment and undated iron fragments. The subsoil contained Roman and medieval pottery sherds; a Roman roof tile fragment, undated ceramic building material and an undated fragment of slag and fragment of glass making debris. Both layers contained undated shell, burnt flint, iron nails and animal bone fragments.
This excavation was peviously recorded under NHER 59561.
