Map

December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated field boundary and other ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3313 3355. A ditch, visible in two sections, is present for 128m between TG 3308 3352 and TG 3320 3356 on a roughly southwest to northeast alignment. A second intermittent ditch extends northwards from this ditch for up 85m. It is cut by a modern field boundary and curves towards the east at its northern end. It is likely that these ditches are related and may represent field boundaries of unknown date. It is possible that the southwest to northeast ditch may have been aligned to respect the ring ditch (NHER 39121) immediately to its south. Two further undated ditches are present with this group of cropmarks. A curving ditch is located at TG 3308 3348 and a northwest to southeast ditch is present at TG 3314 3356. Neither of these ditches appear to relate to the other field boundary cropmarks or the post medieval field pattern.
