Map

December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are located at TG 3252 3448. Ten ditch cropmarks are present on a range of different alignments. Five of the ditches are aligned roughly west to east and may be contemporary with one and another. These include three parallel ditches spaced 3m apart at TG 3254 3445. A 48m long section of ditch located 25m further to the north may also be related. A single north to south aligned ditch, measuring 9m long, is located between these at TG 3256 3447. Together these ditch cropmarks may form part of a fragmentary undated field system. Other ditches in this group, aligned northwest to southeast and southwest to northeast, are located at TG 3257 3347 and TG 3248 3451. None of the ditches visible as cropmarks conform to the post medieval field pattern and consequently are all undated. However, the different alignments exhibited by the cropmarks suggest that they belong to several different periods.
