Summary

A group of three roughly parallel earthwork ditches are visible on aerial photographs on the Golf Links to the north of Cromer Lighthouse. These are undated, but are likely to be post medieval in date. The archaeological origin of these earthworks is unknown, it is possible that they are agricultural or relate to former boundaries on the cliffs.

A group of three roughly parallel earthwork ditches are visible on aerial photographs on the Golf Links to the north of Cromer Lighthouse. These are undated, but are likely to be post medieval in date. The site is centred on TG 2300 4162. The ditches are all relatively broad and shallow, measuring 3m to 4.5m across and ranging in length from 15-20m. The archaeological origin of these earthworks is unknown, it is possible that they are agricultural or relate to former boundaries on the cliffs. They do not appear to be related to the surrounding World War Two military training earthworks (NHER 38940).
