Summary

A watching brief was undertaken in January 2005. There was potential for encountereing medieval pottery kilns as the development site lies within the core of the pottery production area of Grimston. However, no archaeological features were present. A small quantity of medieval pottery was recovered from the subsoil.

Monitoring of groundworks associated with the construction of a new dwelling. Contexts 1-5 used.
There was potential for encountereing medieval pottery kilns as the development site lies within the core of the pottery production area of Grimston. However, no archaeological features were present.
A small quantity of medieval pottery was recovered from the subsoil.
