Full Description
January 2005. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of linear ditches, probably field boundaries of Roman date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3266 3278 and are arranged on southwest to northeast and northwest to southeast alignments. It is likely that these ditches represent field boundaries, although they are too fragmentary for any actual fields to be defined. Their alignment corresponds to that of a Roman field system 600m to the southeast (NHER 39212) and they may be of a contemporary date. They do not appear to relate to other undated ditches in this area (NHER 39216) or to the post medieval field pattern.
