Cropmarks of undated extractive pits and linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1-2). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3393 3236. Three large pits of irregular form are present to the north and south of a ring ditch cropmark (NHER 16651). The largest of these measures 35m by 8m and is aligned on a west to east axis. The southern two pits measure 15m by 13m and 12m by 7m. Between these are two parallel linear ditch cropmarks spaced 5.5m apart on a roughly west to east alignment. The longest of these measures up to 30m and appears to be cut by the westernmost pit. Joining these two ditches is a third, north to south ditch. It is likely that the three pits are extractive pits, but their date is not clear. It appears that the ditches are earlier, but they also have an unknown date and function. Cropmarks of smaller pit like features, of possible natural origin, are present in the vicinity but were not mapped.
