Summary

Metal detecting and fieldwalking have recovered pottery from the Roman to the medieval periods, a Roman brooch and bracelet, a Roman coin, Early Saxon brooches and other metalwork, and other medieval and undated finds. The quantity and nature of the Early Saxon metalwork suggests the prescence of an inhumation cemetery during this period.
