Map

January 2005. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches, including a possible incomplete enclosure and trackway, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3265 3143. An L-shaped ditch cropmark is present in the centre of this group. It may represent the corner of an incomplete enclosure that measures at least 68m by 31m in size. A second linear ditch lies parallel to its eastern side possibly defining a short section of southwest to northeast aligned trackway. Two other linear ditches, on unrelated north to south and northwest to southeast alignments, are also present in this group. The north to south aligned ditch conforms to the post medieval field pattern and is probably a field boundary of that date. The alignment of the other ditches does not match that of the present field pattern or other groups of cropmarks to the southwest and east (NHER 7014, 27237). These cropmarks are cut by a modern gas pipeline at their western end.
