NHER 41065 (Building record) - 149 High Road (ex Whitehouse Farmhouse)

17th century timber framed house, plastered. Steep pantiled roof; offcentre stack. Two storeys and attic. Façade of three bays of 19th century casements and central door. Details from (S1) which calls this Whitehouse Farmhouse South. It appears to be the same as what is now No. 149 though a 'modern porch' mentioned in (S1) has gone, see (S2) in file which also show rear wall has three 20th century first floor windows, one ground floor casement and two small late outshuts. Overall appearance suggests a three-cell house with no windows in side wall to service cell. (S2) of roof, not located in detail, show part has two orders of in line butt purlins without windbraces, and part has windbraces purlin and arched collars. Does this suggest the roof above the parlour cell is older than the rest, as so often?
