Full Description
2003-2004. Stray Find.
From redeposited soil bank at southwest corner of remodelled tennis court at King Edward VII School. Soil may or may not be from immediate locality.
Mesolithic blade (incomplete). Proximal end of a well formed blade in pale grey flint. Some edge damage but no deliberate modification. Very flat bulb of percussion suggests soft-hammer technique. Probably Mesolithic.
Identified by P. Robins (NCM).
A. Rogerson (NLA), 24 February 2005.
