February 2005. Walkover Survey.
Rapid Archaeological Identification Survey in Mansom Plantation.
A previous desk-based assessment identified earthwork remains (ditch and bank) marking the line of the parish boundary together with former quarrying remains. The survey also recorded a number of embanked ditches, hollows, pits and ponds. At northern boundary of the site was a ditch and bank marking the line of the parish boundary, and at the northeastern corner was an area of former quarrying. From (S1), quoted in (S2). As well as the previously noted parish boundary and area of quarrying, a number of embanked ditches, hollows, pits and ponds were recorded.

August 2005. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site. Eight trenches excavated. Contexts 100-805.
Revealed an enclosure ditch dating to the 19th or 20th century.
