Summary

Metal-detecting between 2005 and 2013 recovered prehistoric worked flint, including a Mesolithic core and blade and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead; Roman pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and undated, Roman, Early Saxon and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated copper alloy metalworking debris; a Roman brooch; part of an Early Saxon wrist clasp; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval furniture fitting and harness pendant and post-medieval weights, a purse bar, a knife end-stop and a ramrod pipe or retaining thimble from a pistol.

1 Early Saxon wrist-clasp (gilt).
1 medieval coin, 1 silvered horse harness pendant, 1 ?lamp suspension unit, 1 buckle and 1 ?spur buckle (gilt).
1 post-medieval knife end-stop and 1 ?flintlock/percussion cap ?pistol ramrod pipe/retaining thimble (previously thought to be a RB/ES strap-fitting, see (S1)).

10 Roman coins and 1 brooch (Hod Hill type, mid 1st century AD).
2 medieval buckle frames (one late medieval).
1 late medieval/early post-medieval buckle and 1 fragment of double-hooked fastener.
2 post-medieval buckle frames, 1 hooked tag and 2 lead weights.
