Full Description
May-November 2004. Norfolk Rapid Coastal Zone Archaeological Survey.
Inter-tidal survey (Environmental Zone 5), Contexts 46 and 1111:
Two scatters of reinforced and non-reinforced concrete fragments were found loose along the beach, forming a 20m wide spread at the base of the cliffs. It is unlikely that they were in-situ, having probably fallen from the cliff top.
They were the remains of a World War Two military installation (coastal battery NHER 26938).

These fragments of concrete almost certainly relate to the coastal battery (NHER 26938) recorded on the clifftop.
