Map

March 2003. Norfolk NMP.
A relatively large raised bank or mound is visible on OS aerial photographs from 1973 (S1). The date and origin of it are unknown. This feature is centred on NGR TG 0253 4315. It is about 105m long by between 30 and 50m wide. It is similar to a saltern in appearance, however it does not appear to be in a suitable location for this. It is possible that it is the remains/waste product from some other industrial process.
H. Clare (NMP), 9 May 2003.
