Summary

Metal detecting in 2005-06 recovered a variety of multi period metal objects from this location. The finds comprised a Mesolithic or Early Neolithic flint blade, parts of three medieval buckles, a coin of Henry III and a post medieval buckle frame that was perhaps part of a sword belt. A watching brief in 2008 observed a pit containing a quantity of pig bone that could be the remains of a burial pit for a diseased animal.
