Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 2005 and 2024 recovered medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a medieval roof tile fragment; a medieval/post-medieval floor tile fragment; medieval coins and a number of other, Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Saxon harness fitting; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories (including a medieval gold finger ring and silver brooch); medieval horse-harness pendants, a horse-harness or casket mount, silver ear scoop and lead die; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval crotal bell.

1 medieval coin, 2 pottery sherds, 1 ceramic roof tile, a probable buckle or strap end fragment, horse-harness pendant and suspension mount, horse-harness or casket mount fragment and lead die.
1 medieval/post-medieval Flemish floor tile fragment and 3 copper alloy vessel fragments.
2 post-medieval pottery sherds, a shoe buckle and crotal bell.

Late Saxon Anglo-Scandinavian bridle cheek-piece or strap link.
1 medieval jetton, 2 buckles, a harness pendant, copper alloy annular brooch, silver annular brooch, silver ear scoop and gold gem-set finger ring.
Information from PAS import.
The medieval silver brooch, silver ear scoop and gold finger ring were all submitted for consideration as Treasure (Refs 2024 T1018, 2024 T811 and 2024 T825 respectively). The silver brooch and gold finger ring were both disclaimed as Treasure and returned to the finder.
