NHER 41389 (Building record) - Wood Barn or The Barn, The Street

Marked as Wood Barn on GIS, known as The Barn but not to be confused with premises of that name further north on west side of street.
Set behind street frontage properties on east, aligned roughly east to west. West end is part of a timber framed barn, the former east gable wall now forms a partition; it has jowled corner posts and convex wall braces faced across the studs. The side walls, of similar build, remain in part. To the east is a much larger barn with central threshing floor, doors to north, former cart porch to south now cut down to pentise. Wide spaced studs, long raking braces, infill of very strange red brick, perhaps wasters, with some 19th century bricks as well. Older section is perhaps 17th century, larger extension is 19th century.
