Full Description
June 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two emergency water supply tank is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs (S1) and (S2), centred at TG 5294 0955. The tank, which is first visible on a photograph taken in March 1944 (S1), may have been sited at this location due to its proximity to a barrage balloon site, NHER 15089, approximately 60m to its southeast. It was removed by August 1945 (S3) although its base, or the impression left by its base, was still visible at that date.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 16 June 2005.
