Full Description
June 2005. Norfolk NMP.
World War Two military activity is visible in the form of disturbed ground, a building, and several structures on aerial photographs (S1) and (S2), centred at TG 5309 0911. The disturbed ground, the cause of which is not clear, is visible between Collingwood Road and North Drive. Within this area there is also a large rectilinear building; this appears to have been recently constructed in 1944 and was presumably used by the military or served some other war related function. To the northeast, at TG 5310 0915, is a group of less substantial structures, including a line of four circular features. The function of these structures is not known, but they are presumed to be military in origin.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 28 June 2005.
