Summary

A World War Two curved or polygonal profile hut, perhaps a Nissen hut, is visible as a structure on 1940s aerial photographs. There is no evidence that this was a military site, and the hut was probably used for a purpose related to civil defence and/or shelter. It was removed soon after the end of the war.

A World War Two Nissen-type hut is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs (S1-2), centred at TG 5276 0791. It was erected in March 1944 (S3-4) and presumably related to civil defence although its exact function is unclear. Later aerial photographs indicate that it was removed by 1946.
