Map

July 2005. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of banks and a ditch, probably medieval to post medieval field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs (S1 to S2). These earthworks were located at TG 5247 1284 on an area of waste ground. Two parallel earthwork banks are visible on the aerial photographs on a southwest to northeast alignment. They are spaced 70m apart and extend for up to 25m in length. An earthwork of a ditch, measuring up to 18m long, was present 9m to the northwest of the banks. The alignment of these features corresponds to the surrounding post medieval field pattern. It is likely that these earthworks relate to medieval to post medieval field boundaries. The site now lies in an area of dunes covered by vegetation and it is not clear if these earthworks survive (S3).
