Full Description
July 2005. Found whilst walking between Calthorpe and Wolterton Park, at the southeast corner of a wood.
Neolithic/Bronze Age circular scraper, cortex has been retouched probably to aid handling than for producing a continuous working edge.
Only confidently dateable to Neolithic or Bronze Age but nicely produced symmetrical pieces like this are nearly always Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age.
Information from [1] and [2].
J. Allen (NLA), 19 August 2005.
