Summary

A group of World War Two surface air raid shelters is visible as a cluster of extant structures on 1940s aerial photographs. The small, rectangular structures are comparable to other surface shelters mapped elsewhere in Great Yarmouth (NHER 27444). Their small size and location suggests that they were erected for or by the residents of nearby houses. They were demolished or removed after the end of the war.

A group of World War Two surface air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs (S1) and (S2), centred at TG 5269 0765. Between two and four shelters are visible; each rectangular block may represent a single shelter or two narrower shelters erected side by side. More recent aerial photographs indicate that they were removed or levelled after the end of the war.
