Map

July 2005. Field Observation.
North-west wall, facing onto Row 72, consists of random brickwork of late medieval or 16th-century date, much altered, and raised in height. At the north-east end is a small window at mid height, presumably to a staircase. South elevation, to a courtyard, is all a rebuild of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Inside the ground floor is a timber-framed partition containing a reused beam, and reused bricks of all periods. The wall seems to have been assembled in the 19th century.
Landlord [1] states that in the roof is the keel of a boat with ribs still attached.
E. Rose (NLA), 6 August 2005.
